2 Day-a-week:
- Tuesday-Thursday Morning 9:00-11:30 am
- Tuesday-Thursday Afternoon 12:30-3:00 pm
- This class is primarily for children embarking upon their first preschool experience, and who will be 3 before September 1st of the school year. (Exceptions to this deadline may be made by Miss Dawn on an individual basis.)
- This class focuses largely on appropriate social interaction, working as a group, following directions and developing a love of learning.
- This class will go on 1-3 fieldtrips throughout the year. (Where, when, and if these field-trips take place is at the discretion of Miss Dawn).
3 Day-a-week:
- Monday-Wednesday-Friday Morning 9:00-11:30 am
- Monday-Wednesday-Friday Afternoon 12:30-3:00 pm
- This class is primarily for children who will be attending kindergarten the following fall. Children who will attend 3 years of preschool may register for this class during the last 2 years of their preschool time based upon approval by Miss Dawn.
- In addition to focusing on appropriate social interaction, working as a group, following directions and developing a love of learning; this class will also have an increased focus on kindergarten readiness, with the addition of formal assessments.
- This class will go on 4-7 fieldtrips throughout the year. These usually tie in with a learning theme for the month. (Where, when, and if these field-trips take place is at the discretion of Miss Dawn)
Class Sizes:
There is a limit of 10 students per class, which is strictly adhered to. Registration for each class is on a first come, first served basis.
In my years of teaching preschool in various locations I have had the opportunity to have very different class sizes, and I have come to find that 10 students per class is the "golden" number. I feel that this number provides for enough interaction between students, as well as enough one-on-one time with me.
